Long time back I had seen some south park episode where people just lost internet and they were just got shocked!! I never felt that it can be very true in real life as well but this south park episode came into my life as a real thing and I really felt that how much I got habituated of Internet in my life.
So the story started approx 3 months back when I decided to change my job. After putting my papers I asked to discontinue my interne connection. There were several reasons behind this act but the major was I was not happy with the service I was getting and I was going out for approx 15 days and they refused to keep my number in safe custody.
As I was not willing to pay internet rent for this period, I decided to discontinue it and thought I to take some cheaper connection after returning back.
As a backup plan I took mobile 3G connection so that I can get a basic internet service.
My nightmare started just after flying for Delhi as I realized that the new 3G connection is not with me... I left it at my home. Now I had no other option other then stick with my dead slow GPRS and get internet.
I don’t know if it happens only with me or not but my situation turned like a person went out without umbrella in rain season.
And as expected the rain started ... I had to keep on sending mails to my last company representative and other folks for my relieving letter and at the same time I got due dates of my phone bill, credit card bill ...and all other bills due date which I never thought of.
Finally somehow I managed all these activities with my turtle speed GPRS and returned back to Hyderabad.
I joined the new office just after returning back and hadn't got any time to get any other internet connection.
After 2 days of using 3g services, I realized that it stopped working and after some R&D I come to know that it consumed my 500 bucks for 2 hours surfing :(
I never thought that it would be this much costly. I enquired for any unlimited plan but looked like people left for the adobe after creating this service. No one had any information about it. I think no need to mention here the provider of my 3G services.
Finally I decided to go back to old school and enquired about wired broadband plans. After 15 days of rigorous search, I finally landed up with one option left in my hand and the option was to ask my old provider to reconnect my connection.
Yesterday after 14 calls and 4 services cum complaint request, I got my Internet back....
Yippee... and after a full terrible night... I am back on internet now.
